Hi everyone! I am back home from having my beautiful baby boy, Adam Michael! He was born July 23rd and weight 8lbs 12 oz. I know, he was huge! But We have been having so much fun having snuggling on the couch and just soaking up all this newborn cuteness! In light of my new little bundle of joy, I am gong to share 5 must haves while recovering in the hospital!
#1 - Stool Softeners
Let's face it, when you have babies, both during and after pregnancy everyone wants to know about your "bowel movements". The nurses and doctor's call it "bowel movements" to help us not feel so awkward, but really... they just want to know about our poop!
Have you pooped yet? How much did you poop? These are questions I heard all last week while in the hospital. I know, fantastic right? I know that's at the top of my list of things to talk about with complete strangers! After checking with my OBGYN that DulcoEase® Pink™ was safe to use while pregnant and breastfeeding I headed out to put this in my bag for the hospital being that it p revents and relieves constipation, is stimulant free, and provides comfortable relief containing the #1 OB/GYN recommended ingredient *among stool softener ingredients. If considering a stool softener, check with your doctor first, and then you can even get a coupon to try out the DulcoEase® Pink™!
#2 - Boppy Pillow
As a breastfeeding mom, boppy pillows are a complete must have. Those beds are just so uncomfortable on their own, you will love the extra support that this provides while feeding your baby!
#3 - Some simple snacks
The hospital did have some snacks, but they are pretty limited. Once you start nursing you will be thankful you had your favorite snack handy in the middle of the night when you are starving!
#4 - Your own clothes (nursing gowns)
I know there is the chance that they might get a little "dirty" but those gowns are just so difficult to work with! When nursing you have to unbutton the sleeves, and when you have visitors it's just not fun to watch a lady fumble with her gown! You will be so glad to be in your own clothes!
#5 - Anything you need for your showers!
The hospital usually supplies soap, shampoo and conditioner, but you will want to smell like you! That first shower is very refreshing and it's so nice to have your own stuff! You will most likely be unhappy with your weight loss, feel sloppy and gross, so anything to help you feel better about yourself will make for a happier mom! 🙂
Every new mother’s toolkit should include DulcoEase® Pink™, the #1 OB/GYN recommended ingredient* for going #2. So if you are pregnant or breast feeding, ask your doctor if you should think Pink. Find savings on DulcoEase® Pink™ at www.MomsTalkDulcoEase.com!
