Say thank you with a beautiful handmade card. Handmade cards are fun to give and special to receive.
Do you love receiving handmade cards? A handmade card tells me that the person giving me the card truly cares. I love receiving handmade cards so I try to make cards for others whenever I can.

Handmade Thank You Card Tutorial
Begin by cutting an 8 ½ x 11 piece of white cardstock into 4 rectangles that measure 5 ¼ x 4 inches.
Open the embossing folder and apply ink to one side of the folder. Depending on whether you add the ink to the embossed or debossed side will change the look of your card. Put the piece of paper inside the embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot.
My piece of paper looked like this.
I went through my abundance of stamps and found this cute little saying that I thought would do nicely. It came from a Stampin' Up! set called Everyday Expressions.
Stamp the image onto a smaller piece of matching white card stock with the same red ink pad. Then cut it out using a Labels Framelits and again ran it through the Big Shot.
After the pieces are cut out, roll the edges of the label shape in the red ink pad.
For the ribbon ripple, fold a piece of ribbon under itself and secure with a glue dot.
The card is starting to come together!
Using foam pop dots, adhere the label to the front of the card. The foam pop dots are a thick double-sided sticker so it makes your embellishment stick a little off of the page. Use the pop dots again to stick the card front to a folded piece of card stock that measured 4 ¼ x 11 to make the full card.
I really like how they turned out!
To make a matching envelope, put the flap of the envelope in the Chevron folder and run it through the Big Shot again.

I gotta get my hands on some stampin' up, because i love that stamp. I like making my own stamps now, so that chevron will be a breeze to make, but letters are a bit of a challenge for me still while I get my supplies organized..
Meanwhile, I hope you come bring us some new ideas later today at our linky party. We love being inspired by you!

Love it! I never thought of rolling the edges of a piece of cardstock through an ink pad. Genius! Thanks for the awesome ideas. I too think that getting a handmade card (or even a card in general) is the best feeling ever. That's why I created Moody's Designs on Etsy. Everyone deserves that feeling.
Thanks again,
Hannah
