In this tutorial, we'll show you how to craft a whimsical Fluffy Monster Headband, perfect for both kids and adults.
Instructions:
Cut two 2 ½-inch circles out of white felt, and two 1-inch circles out of the black felt.
Use the hot glue gun to adhere the black circle on top of the white circle, and outline the black pupils with the white glitter paint.
Layer both eyes and let the fabric paint dry.
When the fabric paint is dry, glue the felt eyes to the foam balls.
If you have never used floral pins before they are awesome! They are double pins with a bridge in the center that will hold down your material.
Wrap the feather boa around one eye by securing one end of the boa to the foam ball with a floral pin.
Continue to wrap the boa around the eye, adding more floral pins as needed to keep the boa secure and in place to cover the back half of the styrofoam ball.
When you can no longer see the foam ball trim off the rest of the boa with a pair of scissors. One eyeball is done, repeat for the other eye.
Secure the feather picks in place with floral pins to create the eyebrows.
To put the eyeballs together break a skewer stick so it is about 3 - 3 ½ inches long.
Insert the skewer between the eyes and secure by adding a dab of hot glue on both ends.
AHHHHHH! So cute... but wait!
I used a headband that I already had, but you could also use an elastic type of headband.
Attach the eyes to the headband with floral pins. To make sure they stay add a dab of hot glue to each pin before pushing them into the base of the monster eyes.
And that's it! I think this fluffy monster headband is super cute!
You could also make this monster headband craft spooky by using a black feather boa with red and black eyes, or make a one-eyed or three-eyed monster!
It is a perfect project to add to Halloween costumes!

This is so cute I love it! Especially if you don't have a costume you can always whip up something adorable like this and pair it with street clothes but still look like you're festive. The picture caught my eye it's so adorable, I love the way you did the eyes. Pinning for inspiration for next Halloween - thanks for sharing at Welcome Home Wednesday.
